The restaurant provides service from 8 to12 with a full menu. Charley also provides space for an English book exchange library. He plans to have internet available so
you can take your computer with you for breakfast if you wish. His
Cablemas will provide CNN in English. He is a very personable owner who

CHARLEY LIVES OUT HIS DREAM & HELPS HIS COMMUNITY
About 15 years ago I came to Progreso from Vera Cruz and began working in the restaurant business. I worked as a waiter, chef and manager. Throughout this time I have enjoyed everything I have done and added more experience to my work life. My name is Charley.
In 2003 I settled here in Chicxulub and was surprised to note, even though it is a small port the people are very cordial.
I am surprised that 6 years later I was given the opportunity to live my dream by having my own restaurant in Chicxulub.
I was able to convince my friend to come with me. His name is Joel, the bartender . He speaks english and has agreed to support me in my endeavour.
Along with our waiters Jose, Beni, and Fernando, we welcome you to our new restaurant with a big welcome smile.

Jose, Benny & Fernando
With a combination of a strong work ethic, and great friends, I invite you to experience Bamboo Beach. National and foreign visitors are welcome to experience and enjoy our service and food.
Hi, my name is Joel. About 10 years ago I was looking for a job that would satisfy me and I found it at Buddy's on the malecón. I checked out the information on the restaurant and discovered the restaurant catered to the foreign community. Many of these foreigners did not speak Spanish and I hoped to be able to provide them service in English. I began expanding my English word by word and day by day. Working as a barman, talking with customers helped me improve my English and so today I speak good english. I met up again my good friend Carlos at Buddy's after a 10 year interval. We call him Charley. I was just a kid the last time I saw him. Charley had a dream of opening his own place and I bécame part of his dream.

Now, here I am at Bamboo Beach working with my friend Charley. When you are visiting in Chicxulub please drop in for some friendly conversation and good food. You will find us waiting with open arms to welcome you. You can find new friends and enjoy yourselves.
